So my 92 2.3 auto seen in the pic below getting a shock replaced, has had a slipping transmission for a while now. Ive still been driving it I just have to start out in drive and then bump into OD when I get up to speed. Well now Ive been seeing blots of tranny fluid on the ground and also when I bump into OD now it shakes and rattles

Brother in law has an 8.8 out of a turbocoupe TBird he said I can just have and a guy at work has been trying to sell me a 351W for months now for 300.00

Is it time or should I just find another A4LD tranny and leave it be as a grocery getting daily driver?

Thats what I was leaning towards

Cant I just pull one from a 90-94 ranger? Cant remember what years had them. I had heard that starting in 90 they were a little stronger but I could be wrong
