i was going to work on my suspension next, but now want to see if i can pick up some more hp by going l/t. i have the blower cams so i didnt gain what i could have, but i want to see if i can improve the #'s a bit.

do you think the heads and cams will hurt or help the l/t performance?

also going with slp so i can use my existing x pipe, do u guys know if i will have to drop the header to change the clutch with slp l/t? thanks

ive seen guys w/ stock heads/cams gain 20+ rwhp. now think about this logically. they are pulling in the same amount of air as a stock GT is pulling in. your car, with your new heads/cams is pulling in WAY more air than a stock GT, but your only "kink" or hold up in the system is your exhaust manifolds, which can only flow stock quantities of air. i would suggest you do L/Ts as your next mod. you will see a lot of power from those. but dont skimp on the L/Ts and get shorties :notnice:

well i dont know what shipping would cost, but i was looking to end up with 400 bucks. everything is installed just as it was from the factory. the cams were never removed from the heads. my car only has 9500 miles on her, as do the heads and cams.

i was looking at jba shorties a while ago. just to stay emissions legal, but the shorties dont seem to pick up enough power. i want the slp l/t, but i dont want to worry about getting caughtt with them. well i went ahead and did cams, so i guess everything is out the window now. i going to get them and hope i have no problems.

wont be till tax return time though, i just got done the heads and cams.

any more opinions, or comments on what you guys picked up?

I agree, I think you would see more of a gain being that that is the only part of the setup that is kinda "wheezing" under full throttle.

LTs all the way!

with just the SLP LT's, SLP O/R X-pipe, Steeda cat-back, Steeda CAI, and Accufab 75mm TB and Plenum I was at 257 RWHP, after the SCT Xcal 2 tune it bumped up to 270.7 and 306.6! :)

wow! thats some good hp #'s you guys are getting out of l/t. some you you addes the midpipe at the same time i already have that so i have to subtract about 8 hp.

id love to gain 15rwhp with just the long tubes, but i think it might be more like 10.

although if some of you are right and i gian mire because of the heads and cams, then i should have no prob. pulling 15.

well i will keep u all posted about the gains when i do them. :nice:

btw, l/t people keep the numbers coming
