I have a 91 convt 5.0 lx, and im gonna get a 70mm throttle body, edelbrock intake manifold, headers back, under drive pulleys, 373 gears, 24lb fuel in jectors, and a chip , its an automatic, and im going to keep it that way. So i was just wondering what you guys think those mods will do for me on the track,?, quarter mile time? Thanks!

How about if i cam it and also add a performance water pump with aluminum radiator? not that much of a difference? All i have now is MSD wires, performance spark plugs, and a cold air intake

You might consider also installing a 70mm EGR spacer and MAF sensor. The throttle body will not flow more than the smallest orifice in the airstream. With stock heads the gain will be marginal. Get some GT40 heads and a mild cam like a B303. Keep the stock injectors.

The 3.73's, should probably be 4.10's, the pulleys and exhaust do help, not a ton, but they do.
Also do a 75mm maf.

The rest you are just wasting your money.

If you don't do heads, the cam and intake aren't worth the trouble.
And definetely do NOT do the chip and injectors.

your not going to drop serious et until you get rid of the #1 bottle neck on the car which is the heads. The heads are holding you back but once replaced you'll get more power out of all the little things you added.

best bang for the buck other wise would be 3.73 or 4.10 gears but being a vert i'd say your first mod should be subframe connectors. yes there's no power to be had there but it'll increase the feeling of the car while preventing body flex. they are really the first mod that should be done to every fox weather stock or not.

what was your H/C/I combo? maybe thats why you didnt break in the 13's or gears is another is it aod/aode? t-5 what was your 60ft and 8th mile times all that can determine your problem and as far as putting bigger injectors on a stock motor? its a waste of time and money like every says put some money into your heads and cam combo i recomend AFR/TFS for heads and AFM for a cam i used the n-71 cam in my 331 off the jug it ran 11.76 with a 1.67 60ft

Trick flow heads, roller rockers, track heat intake, comp cam extreme energy, 3.55 gears t-5, ran a 13.7 spinning with a 2.4 60'.

After that, I put on new shocks/struts, springs, removed front swaybar and got a 13.4 (still on street tires). Just new shocks/struts eliminated my bad wheel hop.

driver mod!

Subframes made a big difference in how my car drove, yours being a vert, it will make an even bigger difference. Also like its been said you are largely wasting your time if you don't put a set of heads on it. Gears are good too. I'd do SFC, 3.73's or 4.10's, and then a H/C/I setup.
