8.50 for high school is not bad. you will notice after you start getting checks that you have more money than most of the other teenagers.

anyways, I would go for looks first cause that's what's gonna help pickup chicks.

True, but no sense in just burning the money unless you have a purpose for it. Sounds to me like it's burning a hole in his pocket before he even gets it...

If your happy with your car then spend money on it but if you think you are going to want a new one then put some in the bank. Are you going to keep this job or a job during school? Because if not then you might want to save some money for gas and oil changes.

Yeah I am only 17 and i just built up a 89 mustang sc. I am making $11 an hour and am only a jr in school. I just quit work last month and now that i have had to do all of these upgrades such as injectors-fuel pump and tune i have been taking money out of the bank and killing my account. If i was you i would put some in the bank and spend the others on little things that you would like to do to the car.

when i was 18, minimum wage in alabama was a whopping $3.80 an hour. i managed to get by and still put a little ( and i do mean little ) money in the bank. so i say figure out exactly what you want for your car then go for it - and of you have any money left over bank it and consider yourself lucky. you got what you wanted and you have a little cash left over.

SPEND IT ALL. WASTE NO PENNY ON NO GIRLS.. if your cars nice/fast enough - theyll give it up for free :]

speaking from experience im 18, and ive "invested" well over 5.5k into the engine.. 1.5k into the stereo.. 1k in the rear.. and 2k in rims/tires.. 4.5k in buying the actual car - and regret NONE of it.

mind you, i bought everything working a 40hr week making 11 an hour - no help at all.

put it in the car.. its WELL worth it

Most girls I know laugh when a import comes into town the only thing that gets there attention is jacked up trucks and loud V8's that sound like they want to stall at the lights. But then agian I live in a little hick town (pop 6500) and no boby even sells import stuff (wings and fart cans)
