I just bought the last piece for my 9 in. So I need to recoupe some off the money. I'm not trying to sell it here in this thread, but I did has a few hits and no one replied when I told them 400 bucks. Hence the blue zero on the right.
It's a 3.80 set with an Auburn limited slip, professionally set, and only 3k to 3500 miles on it. The limited slip is over 400 new. This is a good deal yes ?

While $400 isn't unrealistic, I would suggest dropping the price by $50 and see what happens. You have to take into consideration that the shipping price is gonna be the deal breaker. That fully loaded chunk ain't lite. Must weigh in at close to 100 lbs.

if you want to up the price on that thing....strip it and paint it satin black. Replace the nuts with new stainless steel ones (about $3) If you have a diegrinder, grind off all the rough casting from the third member chunk and then paint it silver. Paint the drums too.

I can gurantee this will add 'value' to that rear end. Take lots of pics too.

When you say "3rd member", do you mean rear end, drum to drum?
Or do you mean center section? 'Pumpkin' as us rednecks call 'em...

What is broke on it?
What has broken in the past while the current pumpkin was in it?
I am a little interested.
I don't really have the money laying around to blow, but depends on your answers to this post... ;)

i'm 10secgoal's buddy.

there is nothing broke on it or in it and never was. he was trying to sell just the "pumpkin" only, because he thought it would easier for people to pay for shipping on 100lbs rather than 165 poundds
he is trying to get some money out of the 8" he built to go towards his 9" he just started to build.
he's near tampa and would probably make a deal with you on the whole rear end since your in the same area :nice:

he gets on here about every other day so give him time to reply.

Yeah, 8" stuff is quite a bit lighter than 9". The difference is impressive.
"Chunk" is the other word I was looking for, but couldn't grasp.
When the weights were being tossed around, I was thinking entire rear/less drums to get such a weight.
I would be interested in the whole rear, but I really can't consider spending the dough right now... too much on my plate.
