I'm considering buying a set of 17" wheels and would like to know if they'll fit without hitting the fenders. They're 17x9's with 20mm offset mounted with 255/40-17's and they'll be going on an '88 GT. Anyone have any similar size wheels on their car? The car is a daily driver and I really don't want any clearance issues, but am sick of the 15's on the car now. Thanks in advance!

I say you should be fine. It might rub up front but as long as you don't max out the rack you should be alright (or you could get the steering rack turn limiter from ford). I have 17x9 on the back of my 89 and it fits like a glove. Im running 17x8's in the front and they seem to have plenty of room. If your car is lowered though you might want to roll the front fender lip so if you hit a bump you don't touch the wheel to it, besides that I'd say go with them and never look back.
