I would like to restore the wheels on my car to near new and was wondering if anyone had any experience restoring painted Bullit Wheels. Mine have a number of scratches on the Mineral Gray paint and a lot of small dings in the outer edge of the rim lip. Any suggestions on technique or on suggested coatings would be appreciated.

Its all going to depend on how badly damaged they are to begin with. That, and if you're able to do painting yourself or not. You can take your wheels to a body shop and they can do it for you, but it might cost a pretty penny. As a matter of fact, it would probably cost nearly as much to get them fixed at a body shop as it would to just buy a new wheel. I'm not sure what kind of paint Ford uses from the factory on the wheels, but if you can get it and know how to paint vehicle parts, then have fun doing it yourself.

I just had a wheel replaced by the dealer when my car was in the shop. There are two shades of charcoal on the bullit rims. From 01-02 the grey is lighter. 03-04 the grey is darker. Make sure the shade matches your other wheels if you buy some more.
