Exactly! 4th gear will still be a 1:1 ratio. 5th will remain around .7 to .8 ratio. 6th will be an excessively overdriven .5 to .6 ratio for better highway mileage. 1st through 4th gears will retain the same effective gearing and spacing, so there's not going to be any acceleration improvements.
I guess if anyone bought these cars for their gas mileage they should have considered something else. Not that it's not a factor, but probably not the first thing you consider when you make a decision to buy a car in this class, and if it is, buy the V6? Or a prius?


I can see how somebody that buys cars for looks would get a 2010 and not care but I buy them for the powertrain
