I was changing my brakes and the caliper bolts are pretty messed up. I have been trying to get some new bolts but Im not having any luck. I called the local Ford dealership-special ordered parts which had to get shipped from conneticut but something happened and they still arent here. Autozone didnt carry the bolts and the local bolt store "bolt depot" didnt have them but they did have some similar bolts that would require some washers as well...

i was afraid of the washers failing so i told the guy i wasnt interested.

can anyone help me out?
my car has been on jack stands for over a week and that sucks

Let me guess, Fawcett, you were changing your front rotors and the bolts were torqued down so tight that even an impact wrench was stripping the head on them. Funny, I just had that problem today. Now I don't know what I am going to have to do other than get a torch and vice grips and new bolts too. :)

I found myself grinding the heads off the bolts on the pass side front to get the caliper off, then I replaced all 4 bolts when I put on the Cobras...

My ford place had 2 bolts in stock then had the next 2 the next day... try another dealer... get the P/N and call around...

I went to an Autozone but they didnt carry them, I have been giving the local Ford Dealership Parts Store a call a day to check the status but they are taking a long time. I took my brakes off on last saturday and placed the order that day, they told me the bolts would be in on sunday and now its wednesday.

Guess what Im about to do???
Make yet another f-ing call.
Oh and why are the rear bolts more money than the fronts? I cant believe I am going to spend over $60 for 8 bolts.
