I see tons of ads for knock-off Saleen body kits for our cars, but none of them mention getting the inserts with the kits. It's funny how they show it in the pics, but some I've even asked and they don't carry the inserts.

Where does one get these? Since Saleen is no more I'm not sure where to get them.

Keep checking the forums. I found some brand new real ones never painted for $50 shipped. They are in my closet somewhere

Haney has nothing, nor does Joe Heck Racing which were the two best places to get saleen parts. Stage 3 still shows that they stock them on their website, but you better call before ordering. I'm picking up a set of front and rear saleen bumpers this weekend used simply because these are getting harder and harder to find.

Well, at least other companies are repopping the bumpers. It doesn't look like anyone makes the inserts aftermarket! I think since the company has gone out of business that they should sell the rights to them to one of the bigger body kit manufacturers.

the saleen stuff is just perforated steel. I would pick up some perforated alum or stainless and make your own, much cheaper!

The side skirt inserts I have are urethane and most definitely authentic Saleen.

Steel? Are you sure you know what we are referring to here? If you look at a Saleen you'll see trim pieces on the lower door that makes it appear to come out even with the side skirts. Every body company I call says those do not come with the kits nor do they sell them. What's dumb is those inserts look so easy to make! Why the hell would they go through all the trouble to offer up these kits without the inserts? It's redundant!

you have to watch some of those kits as the skirts arent exactly like the saleen skirts and thats probablly why they dont offer the door fillers. For those that dont understand what they are look at the bottom of my door and you will understand.

It would seem that they all have the inserts pictured on the cars in their advertisements. Take a look at the one on this page: USA AND  CANADA It shows the inserts (the pics are obviously of real Saleens).

And if you go on ebay and look at their body kits it's the same story.
