Where's the MAF on the 05's?

Are these cars not going to use Mass Air? Or am I missing it in this picture? It's definately not anywhere along the intake tube, is it integrated into the throttle body or the air box maybe?

Newer Ford cars have the MAF in the intake air box cover.

If you look at any of the good photos of the '05 Mustang engine bay, you can see an electrical connector on the air box cover near where it joins the air intake tube. I'd imagine that's where the MAF is.

Do you think the MAF air is build into the air box, or just outside of it. / ?
Idea of what Stock Size will be.. ?

possibly similar like the 94-04 setup, in the airbox enclosure somewhere.

As I said above, it appears that the MAF is in the airbox cover. If you buy a replacement air-box or air box cover for vehicles like the Lincoln LS & 2001 - 2004 T-Bird the MAF comes as part of the air box cover.

how does Chevy do it with this set up- like on LT1's.. Do they use MAF ?
heard some use something like SD and not mass air-

LT1's and LS1's use a Mass air system like the mustang does...

The MAF is in the air box cover. Also it seems like the air box is alot more restrictive than 99-04's. Plus I could swear that the air filter itself is a panel, and not a conical. Just by looking at the shape of the air box you can tell. Is it just me or is this engine just begging for a nice Densecharger set up? Or maye a C&L True Flow inlet pipe/MAF system?

I think it's begging for a lid (like the LT1/LS1's) and a ram air setup...

The 92-93 LT1s were SD and the 94 ups were mass air.

The air box looks HUGE to me. I don't think you'll get the gains you think yo will with any aftermarket stuff.
