I just ordered my richmond tranny and need a bellhousing. I have a 157 tooth fly wheel and it is going on a 351. Any ideas on sourcing the correct bell?

Thanks in advance

Eric

What type of Trans is it TKO, Tremec, T5, or T56?? If so one of those out of a fox body would work just fine with that, they came cable or hydralic actuated.

lakewood has the bellhousing you need. ust let them know what tranny, flywheel tooth count, and type of clutch linkage you are going to use.

You need to find out what the input shaft length is and what bolt pattern the Richmond has first. Also with a 157 tooth flywheel, and a 351, you're going to need a serious clutch and pressure plate to handle the torque with a 10 to 10.5 inch clutch. Something at least along the lines of a CenterForce Dual friction clutch P/P setup.

If that's a six bolt bell, yea. I'm using a late 60's bell with the same flywheel in my Ranger for it's Toploader 4 speed. Make sure you either install Heli-coils in the 4 bolt holes for the transmission, or make sure the threads are OK, then use bolts that will extend all the way into the holes.
