About 4-5 times. Once for about 200 miles. I just took my time and it was fine.

I have about 6700 on them, and they are close to the indicators, but I've been to the track 8-10 times averaging about 8 runs each time.. I use them for bought street and track. But the closest track for me is 90 miles in each direction.

I only have one set of street rims. Just about a month ago I bought some 15x10x26 MT streets and some summit weld knock wheels for the track next year. But I plan on running them as a street tire from now on. The car is not my daily anymore, so unless I accidently get caught in bad weather I don't drive in it..

i have 2 cars but i prefer to drive the mustang...i also own a 2002 Toyota 4Runner. so would you recommend another set of rims with those on it or just use them as a DD/track tire since i would probably drive it 3 days a week

DO NOT DRIVE THEM IN THE RAIN!! Simple as that its not a matter of if you wreck its a matter of when. This is no joke go to SVTPer. and see how many cobra guys that run them have wrecked in the rain. I was going 45mph most roads dont go that much slower and the car hydroplaned. It didn't fishtail or anything its just went sideways and that was it.

If it was me since you have another car buy the MTs and put them on your rims. Check the weather and if it looks like there is even a .001% of rain don't drive the Stang. I never liked drving it in the rain anyways, it gets dirty . Now I look everyday I take it out and even if they're not calling for rain and it looks cloudy I don't drive it. Once you loose you car are almost do you will understand.

Have you driven the new ones in the rain? I have hydroplaned more with stock goodyears. The older ones didn't have an effective way of channeling out the water. The new ones are alot better, but the new thread pattern only comes in certain sizes

i reccommend bfgs, ive got 12k total on mine, and they are showing their indicators. ive had them on for 5 months, got them used and the guy who had them on before me had them on for a year previously... i drive mine everyday, in all weather even the snow, of course i take my time and drive really slow bfgs ftw...

again, i make it just fine in the rain, a bit harder in the snow, but i get there. just gotta drive cautious.

and i believe people typically get
3-5k miles outta the MTs
5-8k outta the Bfgs
8-15k outta the nittos

i would probably just go with nittos. esp if this is a DD or a car that you put excessive miles on, nittos hook well when heated and with low pressure.

et drag fot the strip
normal tires for the street. Why do you need to hook on the street anyways?

Why compromise and try to get a tire that will do it all. Get a tire that will hook well at the track and only at the track. Go for broke, get a set of slicks. your axles will thank you.

You act like the new ones are light years ahead of the old ones, its pretty much one more grove on each side. LOL Not what I would consider night a day difference.

Like I said most people don't understand how quickly you can loose it with DRs they are not made for the rain simple as that. Even when I had my Nitto DRs there were a few times I felt the car get a little squirly but I never lost it. They were much better than the MTs BUT not something I would want to drive in the rain all the time or in a heavy rain storm. I never really thought wice about driving in the rain before the wreck, I just figured if I take it slow I'll be ok but guess what it still happened. I almost killed myself along with a friend, I still dont know how we didnt die. I always say we had some one watching over us that day because when you see semi headlights 10ft away coming at you at 70mph thats the last thing you ever see.

If you or anyone else want to drive their car in the rain with those tires more power to you but when you wreck it or almost do don't forget I told you so.
