which monte carlo bar and export brace

Ok you guys running just the curved monte bar did you have to drill new holes to mount it? I put the one I had sitting in the garage on there and only 1 hole lines up, the top one and I only have one hole on top.

Yes I had to drill two new holes to mount it. It would of been three/side but I cut part of the lower ear off to keep from having to drill more holes. The bolts on the top need to be button head (or shorter) otherwise the hood will hit them when you close it.

If your talking about the monte carlo bar....mine did not have any bolt holes on the top so I had to drill mine. Another advantage of the MPG bar is you can remove them easily to get better access to the valve covers.

I cannot speak for all, but if you did not have the monte carlo bar installed than you should have no holes on the top of the fender and will have to drill both. As for hardware, I used original style fender bolts and had no issues with clearance.

As for the two bolt holes running along the shock tower only the lower one lined up on mine and the upper one was off by about a bolt hole. I installed only the lower one and left the upper one out because the bar is supported well and it covered the hole.
