Which motor should I use?

Okay, as many of you know I wrecked the gt a little over a month ago. I'm looking at a notch roller this weekend. My question is this: I've got the motor and tranny in my car. I've got a set of gt40p's, exploder intake, and some crane gold 1.6's laying around if for when I rebuild it. BUT, I also have a 5.8 out of a '96 f150 that I could use. The 5.0 has around 160k on the clock while the 5.8 had around 260k. What to do!

Sell what you have and buy an explorer motor . Throw your cam and roller rockers in it with the explorer intake and throttle body and go. Be a nice setup imo!

So the 5.8 isn't worth all the trouble rebuilding and dropping in? Anybody done a 5.8 swap?

So, all things being equal would I be better sticking with the 5.0? I don't plan on seeing 450hp or anything, but it would be cool to say I did it.

Put a 200 shot on it and you can say you have 450hp!! I would stick with the 302. Thats just me though. Its easier.
