Which transmission do I have

I have a 1987 Mustang GT 5.0 manual, I lifted up my car today to see where this leak was coming from. As I am under my car I notice a two wires(black w/white and light green w/yellow), with a connector not connected to anything just zip tied to the tranny. I took off the metal ID tag off and here are the numbers on it E4ZR-7003-DA under those numbers are these 13-52-065. On the right corner of the tag is E084 with these under them 34894. On the tranny itself on the top, right underneath the shifter is 13-52-066-919 with Borg and Wagner stamped next to it. I just got the car a couple of months ago, just wondering why the numbers don't match, I am thinking they switch the tranny's and put the old metal ID tag back on. Anyone know where that connector goes? I will try to post up picture of it later on today.

The metal tag holds the answer.

Check out the AutoZone wiring diagrams to find what the odd wires are for.

I didn't find either 13-52-065 or 13-52-066-919 on that chart. The tranny has been working find along just that there is some slight oil leak I still haven't found the source.

Thanks LuquidGT, I found the tag number 13 -52 -065 belongs to a 1984 T-5 mustang gt. Maybe thats why there is that unconnected wire. Should I start looking for a newer T-5 ?

That would be wise to get a newer one, and the later T5's weren't that strong to begin with, you can throw a toothpick at yours and that thing and it will break. I dont even think the '84 is a world class T5.

It goes to the NSS on top of the t-5.

If that truely is a 1984 t-5, then it did not have the switch then. It's also non-world class but does have a 2.95 gearset in it...but weak as hell. Def don't beat on it.
