hey guys!!
i just did a pi head/intake/cam swap on my 98 gt.i'm getting it tuned when i get back from work.which of these tunes should i go with.
1 guy is gonna sell me an xcal 2 and do a tune for me for $420.he says he will get me to drive the car around while he tunes and makes adjustments to the tune.this other guy wants $420 for a switchchip and a dyno tune.which of these will be better guys.i haven't gone real in depth with them when i talked to them, just wanted to get a price.let me know what you guys think.
thanks
charles

get a dyno tune , that would probably be your best choice

The dyno tune should be cheaper. Just go to your local sped shop, get them to install the SCT chip with a dyno tune. At my local speed shop, the chip is $325 and then an additional $100 for the dyno tune..

thats how much they want for the dyno tune.
they want like $525 with an xcal 2.i may get the street tune for $420 with the xcal, and then go to the other shop with the dyno and get a dyno tune as well.i can try both tunes at the track and see personally which one works better and at the dyno!!!
thanks for the help guys!!

The disadvantage to the street tune is there won't be any wideband O2 monitoring (a must), and at least where I live it's hard to find public streets on which to run at WOT long enough for tuning purposes.
