So my gf bought a new car a couple weeks ago and now we have too many cars. I was origionally going to sell her 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo privately (did not trade it in cause we wouldn't gotten **** for it). Now I own a 99 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4. The truck is flawless mechanically wise(decent exterior), but the jeep is another story mechanically. The damn thing keeps loosing coolant and has been doing it for a while and I know why, it has a damn crack on the head(I6)
I guess it's pretty common problem for those year jeeps. Here is the thing, I don't want to sell it like that. I would like to fix it. Damn thing is loaded too, power everything, moonroof, heated leather seats(drivers quit working though), but it gets ****ty mpgs, best we can get is 15 if we are lucky. I can get 18-19 in my truck, both mixed driving.
Pros about the jeep over the truck(besides being loaded) is that it has more power and torque(4.0L vs 3.0L). My truck can't get up to speed for ****. I can fit more people in it comfortably than the truck.
Pros about the truck over jeep; has been more dependable, a little better mpgs, more practical cause of the bed(but jeep has a lot of room when back seats are down). Did I mention it was more dependable??
Oh, I owe $5K on the truck and $7k on the Jeep. So which one should I sell and why? Thanks!!

Plus, Jeeps don't seem to lose their value as quickly.
<---Hate the driver, not the car.
