I have seen alot of threads talking about the "whistle" you get from it. Not sure about the break in part, but I know your not the only one with the issue. Didn't see anything about a fix though. I have a dragon and accufab 75mm.. I can hear a somewhat faint whistle when accelerating mostly below 2000 rpm, but it isn't that loud or annoying. Both Dragons I tested did the same thing.
On the second test, I had 2 guys say "hey, you didn't tighten something"... I checked and everything was tight. I then leaned over the car and gave it some manual throttle, and you can tell that the whistling is coming straight from the plenum. You can even put your hand on it and "feel" the whistleing.
Sounds like a mini blower.
