Went to the track today and have a few questions. First of all, I went to the track last year and trapped 98mph every run. This year I have gone twice. The first run at the track this year I trapped 98 as before, but the very next run I trapped a whopping 92mph (same 60 foot times and what not). This trend continued the rest of the day. Confused yet? lol it gets better....Today at the track I am doing the same thing, trapping 91-92mph with a 2.3 60ft time (gimme a break i'm new and on street tires! ). My fifth or sixth run, out of the blue I trap 96mph (same 60ft times) and my temp guage spikes! It had been sitting at the bracket on the left side of where it says NORMAL on the temp guage, and now was at the M in NORMAL. The car is always at the bracket after it warms up (thats just its normal running temperature i guess ). The rest of the day I trapped 96mph. Any ideas on why it would fluctuate like that? Also I installed an aluminum driveline yesterday and ran a short belt at the track (never done that before) and neither seemed to help at all, i dunno, just thought that was weird....Thanks for the help guys

I need gears and my trac-lok rebuild something fierce! Hehehe I have rubber all up the passenger side from burnouts, none on the driver's side lol. Think bad trac-lok could have to do with some of my issues?

I'm a charter member of the "Guess why my car is slow club." It's because you live in the Pacific Northwest, don't ya know? By unwritten regulation our tracks are 200 feet longer than everywhere else and they have a mandatory 1* upward incline...
