I dont know if he post here but he goes by the name of Hammer(Rich) I believe that now he has gone low tens in a legal competition with drag radials and the car makes 700+ rear wheel horspower and passes a dot legal state inspection, and drives the car daily!!!!!!!! I think that makes him the winner.

Check out my sig (PM for the list of mods)...My Cobra is almost 3 months old and I've already joined the 500+ RWHP Club. Many more Mods to think about because I plan on being the 1st Mystichrome in the country to join the 700 RWHP Club in a few months. It's not my daily driver because I switch off between my 96 GT Vert and the 04 Cobra.

There are plenty of combos out there that can and will get you up to 700RWHP without every lifting a valve cover. The question is how much money you willing to spend?

straightline speed

Seems like all everyone writes about is straightline speed - 700 rwhp and quarter mile times. what about cornering? what about braking? what about ballance? what about weight? most roads have corners. maybe, just maybe...a fast car should corner and brake well. is the fastest cobra out there the one that goes really fast in a straightline or the one that can rip through the entry point, apex, and exit point with the most speed?

I did the belt, pulley, chip, cold air, x-pipe with racepacks, throttle body...blah blah blah. 450 to the wheels. It's great, but the mods that let me put that power to the pavement are just as important.

MM coil overs w/bilesteins

MM full length subs

XMP rear shock tower brace

MM K-member w/front control arms

MM bump steer kit

MM IRS sub frame bushings

Delin rear control arm bushings

Taylor battery relocation

Next:

Baer/Alcon pro+ with 14 inch front rotors adn 13 inch eradispeed rotors on rears.

18 inch forged wheels. 10.5 in back. 9 in front running hoosiers at the track and p-zero corso on street.

if anyone else is running open track, not drag, i'd love to hear what you have to say, how your car is running, and what mods you've done.

very good point i am a firm believer of a total package, but most of us are dedicated 1/4 mile racers (and a few of us like racing from stop light to stop light)

I'm with you bro. I personally think that going fast straight is only half the fun; I too like a balanced package. You have some pretty impressive suspension mods. I wanted to get the MM Coilovers but my job came to an end and so did my mods.

I can't remember who it was awhile back, but Firme posted the photos of his friend '03 Cobra with some serious suspension mods. Firme?

Sorry, I fell asleep at the wheel

yeah the local Svt Cobra Mustang Club in Houston is infested with corner carvers...
here is the 03 you speak of

03 Cobra
P.S. Check that page after this weekend, he has done a LOT more suspension mods and I have to update the page. The last open track event he took it to, he was passing anything and everything

I'm not familiar with Magnaflow "race packs" or a billet quick shift. Care to elaborate on what exactly these items are?

mcjpd3@yahoo.co - How is the drivability of your car now, say - as a daily driver? Does it punish your ribs over normal roads? I am wanting the matrix brace, jacking rails, full length subs, STB, rear shock tower, and k-member setup... I just don't want to completely kill the ride.

As for who the fastest is? I am

my cobra

Hey Uncle Meat. Howya doing? I alaways read your posts and almost always learn something. Sorry about the loose language. The magnaflows I'm running are their "6" Race Series". Not technically streetable but less restriction and killer LOUD sound. they list them on their site if you want to take a look. my shifter is the UPR's "billet" T-56 Blue Thunder shifter.

as for the second question about driveability, it's very loud and very stiff but manageable. it doesn't rattle my teeth out or hurt my back. i kinda like the precision on the street. no flex, no roll, feels like the cars on rails. maybe becuase i work from home and don't have to commute every day? that being said, if i didn't run open track, i wouldn't have gone to the same extremes with suspension, brakes etc. the trade off in ride quality would not be worth it.

Magnaflow race series... we're not talking about Magnapaks, right? I'll bet it's loud!
