you'll be suprised...
I'm running 255/40s on a 9" wheel the front of my 91 LX (2" drop). It's not the tire that rubs, but the wheel that makes contact with the stock control arm at full lock. tubular control arms will solve this problem

That's what i was thinking....i'm going to be running a 17x9 rim all the way around and 255/40s front and back.

I am running 255/45/17 on a 17x8 rim (installed by previous owner) and they just slightly rub on the fender extensions when turning...nothing major at all...

should be fine. Heck i tried 275s at one point...it drove alright. The rim should hit before that tire
