Why doesn't anyone JET HOT coat their block?

Question is in the title. I was just wondering because its always good to keep heat out of the engine compartment, what better way to control the heat thatn to make it pass through the headers and back out the rear of the car?

Sorry for a stupid question. Typin a 12 page paper for class and taking a break. One hour in and only 6 pages to go.

I was thinking the same thing. If it was strictly just a "show car" then that might be a good idea. But then again it will probably get dirty easily and have to spend hours and hours cleaning it.

But wouldn't it just make the engine disipate heat through the exhaust. Or would it just act like an oven.

After bills this month ive got $150 going towards my new engine fund. Ill put JET HOT coating on the list. If I fell like actually following through with it I let everyone know. LOL

I honestly think now its a bad idea but who knows. People paint their engines, paint doesn't have the same heat resistance as JET HOT but whatever. If the price is cheaper then Im just gonna paint the block to match the car. JET HOT would make for an interesting bling factor in an engine compartment. maybe.... Ill think about it.

The block does not run that hot, it is a waste. Headers are coated because they are the hottest external part of the motor... think about it... combustion gases passing through. That is where it is useful. A motor does not got hot enough... engine paint burns off at 500 degrees... jethot is probably well over 1800 degrees... and it doesn't chip off like paint. I am just saying it has no benefit in a motor. The motor should dissipate heat..not retain it. by retaining it a little bit more, your engine temperatures wil rise because your coolant is absorbing even more heat.
