I've been trying for months to find a set of 16 inch wheels to mount a pair of M/T DRs I have laying around on. I've been looking for SN95 wheels to save money, but still haven't been able to find anyone that wants to sell me two of them. Now I am wondering if I can use new-style V6 wheels, I figure they might work better because they'd have the right backspacing. Though I doubt I'll find any of those either, I'm just trying to expand my options.

I'm thinking maybe I'd be better off just sticking with street tires untill I can afford new 18s, then selling these DRs and putting a pair of 17 inch DRs on my stock rims. But that will be a longggggg time from now.

I used to have a set of 05 V6 rims with 255/50R16 Drag Radials for my 05 GT. They did fit. I had them for sale for the longest time, however I did sell them.

the DRs I have are 265s so they will fit on a 7 inch rim I think. I'd mount them myself, so no worry of a tire shop refusing to try lol.

Now if only I could find some rims. I FINALLY found a guy that will sell me a pair of 16 inch ponies off a 95GT for 80 bucks. I may just snag those. But I'm wondering if they will cause any issues since they stick out a bit further than the S197 wheels. Mostly I'm worried about rock chips.

I drove a 64 mile round trip only to find that one of the wheels was bent. Needless to say I was pissed.

Now I found a guy taht will sell me two 05 V6 rims for 80, but it's like a 100 mile trip to WI to get them. SO I wanna know for sure that they will fit and work for what I want.

Anyone have a pic of these wheels on the back of a GT?

From this computer I am on, I cannot access my Streetfire account. I believe I have pics of my 05 V6 rims on it on Streetfire. If you can wait until Saturday, I can get you a few old racing images with them.

My User account on Streetfire is TGJ as well.

I actually just got a wicked deal on 4 wheels off a 95 GT. They don't fit perfect from what I hear, but I couldn't pass up the price for temporary use tires. But thanks for the help anyway!
