will 315/35/18s fit on 18x10 saleens on a 96 saleen ?

as it the title really..

will 315/35/18s fit the rear 18x10s on the back of a 96 saleen.. only mods in that area are the steeda upper and lower arms...

ive done a search and have found conflicting views all over the place... anyone have these and know they fit ?

you conflicting info my be recomended fitment vs just streching the tire on a rim. they are not recomended. with that short of a sidwall I would not run them. I would go 295.

now that being said the only way to know if they will fit is just to try to strech them on the rim and bead them up. my gut says they would proably go but the sidewall of the tire would look a little distorted.

I mean they will go on a 10.5 and that is only .5 inches but they are really optimum for an 11" rim. one thing to remeber is actual width of the tire is affected by distorting the sidewall. so you may not gain as much width as you think running a 315 over a 295. for example if you run a 295 on a 10" rim they have about a 12" width. the 315's on an 11" rim have a 12.5 width or so. you streach that 315 on a 10" rim you may only have a 12.2 width. So I would not spend alot more money on the tire if runnig a narrow rim.

i think it depends on what tire you want to go with. if you go with a nitto it should fit fine

94-98's don't have as much room in the back as the newer cars do...I have 315/35/17's on mine with michelin pilot sports..and I JUST clear...I would go one size smaller..

thanks for the advice guys... maybe ill look at 295s then, i have 285s already but was looking at getting some wider ones when these wear down some more..
