will a 351 fit under a stock 86 hood?

does anyone know if a 351 wearing a lightning lower intake and an explorer upper will fit under a stock 86 hood? I do NOT like cowl hoods and this will determine if the future stroker will be 302 or 351 based. I have both engines in the garage waiting to be picked from.

It can be done, but you don't really want to do it with that upper as it will render the extra cubes useless...

I used a Lightning lower and Comp Cams box upper, but had to trim ~.700" off the upper to clear the stock hood.
I used Energy Suspension engine mounts.

Other alternatives are...
Lowering engine mounts, but this may lead to clearance issues with the oil pan to kmember.
Drop kmember.


Or, just convert to a vic jr, and run a custom intake elbow....
