In a few months i have to pass a dyno roller smog test.

I have a few issues that MAY cause a problem, being:
40lb injectors, blow through MAF, no egr, crane 2031 cam(quite a bit of overlap....choppy as hell at idle)....i still want to install a stock cam, but ive gotten lazy.

My engine, and stock cats are in great condition tho...

Ok, so assuming i ask my tuner to keep the tune tight down low, run my stock h-pipe, hook my egr back up, and put some "guaranteed to pass"(if it works....I heard it does?)......do you guys think i can pass?

The rollers arnt weighted so they dont put a load on the car and they barely go over 2000 rpm.

I know my turbos wont spool at such a light load, plus the cats on will stop spool.

I was told that my turbos count as mufflers where there mounted so i shouldent have any other problems..safety wise.....just if i dont get a sticker all kinds of bad things happen in MA....like $250 fine and Instant registration removal from the car! As a side note, is it true that all 96+ obd2 cars only must not show a CE code to pass....almost too easy?

Yes.

Kinda makes you want a mod-motor. . .

I dunno about how yours will do after those mods. The most I could see being a problem would be the EGR and maybe the cam. You could probably get a tune that would be more "smog friendly."

Oh and 250 fine and instant registration removal? I never heard of that for failing the emmisions. Last i heard you get a rejection sticker with 90 days to fix it.

then the egr would prob be your only issue. not sure how things like that work beings most turbos you swap headders so you would lose the egr bung. But yours are still the normal way right? why couldn't you just hook one up? I'd say yeah on the trying first what do you have to lose besids the cost. Then if you have problems hook one up and try again. That could get expensive though if you keep having issues.

Thast the reason I take my stuff to the garage I do, If it fails he don't recharge me to do it again and he alwys trys something to get it to pass the first time

I can tell you I passed emissions testing in california and england without the egr being hooked up.
