Will my tire size be ok?

I just wanna make sure that a 245/45/17 tire can fit a 17x9 rim. Is this true? With no problems? It will be only for up front..
If so thats great cause I need to save some $$..

I just bought 4 new rims. 2 17x10.5 Deep dish black bullit rims....and 2 17x9 black bullitt rims for up front. I'm getting 2 315/35/17 Nitto DR's for the back ...and i will just use my 245/45/17 Nitto street tires for up front ..yay
