will the 01-04 V6 wheels work for 5 lug fox?

hey all

ive been trying to find the 95 "waffle pony" rims for my 5 lug swap on my 93. I found a pretty good deal on these 01-04 V6 rims, and i was wondering if anyone knew if the backspacing and all that crap will work ok. I have 95 spindles, and ill probably be going with the 83-92 ranger axle route for the back

I beleive theyre 16 x 7.5", which is actually 1/2" wider than the 4 lug pony rims, arent they? how wide of a tire could i run on a 7.5" wide rim?

also, will 97 Cobra wheels fit ok?

The 97 Cobra wheels were on a co-workers Dark Green Fox and they looked cool, needed to be lowered though.

The V6 wheels will also fit, but they are not as wide as the Cobra's so they may look a little goofy. For the tire size, look on a site like www.tires.com or www.tirerack.com, find out what the stock tire size was and go from there.

Both will fit just fine. If you have cobra front brakes the v6 wheels will not clear them. The cobras are 17x8 and the v6 wheels are 16x7.5. I would go for the cobra wheels... You can probably go with a 235 width on the v6 wheels.

I just sold some waffle ponies with nice good years for $200. I picked up some 99 5 stars for $81 off ebay.

I bought a set of '01 v6 wheels that look exactly like the ones that you pictured to roll my '84 around on until I decide which 5-lug wheels I want for it. The ones that I have are 15" wheels. I have not measured the width.
