Will These Foglights Work?

Here's a pic...I left one in the box to show the "clearness"

The other is the back....Is that the same bracket style as ours?

Thanks

It's hard to explain, but I know that the ends of the piece you see in that pic on OUR fogs are little flat black finger turning screws.

Im sure this will fit on the bracket...I just wanted someone who got these EXACT ones to chime in and say that this is what theirs looked like and they had no troubles fitting it.

They do fit on our existing brackets.
Not bad quality for Taiwan.
I sealed the union between the lens & the body with a bead of silicone gasket goo. But is this enough?
As was said in an earlier post, I noticed my stock OEM bucket had a crack in it, and I've got some halogen bulbs on the way.
Now I wonder if I should have layered a skim coat of JD weld on the top of the bucket B4 installing it?

Hey AL....Thanks for you chiming in, and Welcome to our forum!

I dont think you need to seel the the lens edge. The crack that come in the top is due to excess heat...that's why Im considering going back to a stock 37.5w, especially with a clear lens. For the top, you can spray on some rubberized undercoating...Just be REALLY careful with how that stuff sprays out.

What I would like tho is to either find a nice amber bulb, or a super white-type color bulb in 37.5w.

I had a set of the aftermarket lights in my 1990, and water was getting in, so the seams in those Taiwan lenses do need sealing--it's easy & takes just a minute.
Now that they're installed, I'm gonna jack up ther front end & brush something on the top of the bucket--I want to use those halogens.
Even w/new Cobra lights & Silverstars, I need all the light I can get up front.
