will these tires fit?!!

WILL 295/50/R15's on 15x8 5.5BS Welds FIT!?

I am buying a set of welds for a good deal today. the tires that are on them are in good condition.. I want to keep this setup for now and I plan on going 265 or 275/50/R15's on the rear eventually (I know these will fit) but anyway straight to the point!

Basically Will 295/50/R15's on 15x8Welds with 5.5 BS fit on my '86 Coupe with little modding? I currently have my car dumped so tailpipes are no problem. I have GT springs in the Rear and KYB Adjustable shocks.

I've done alot of searching and I saw A White 90's GT with the setup i want to do.. and all he did was bang in the fenderwall a little and take out his quads. Any input appreciated.

I know it can be done, but what needs to be done to make them if . I guess the obvious is rolling the fender lip, ditching the quads and maybe hammering of the wheel well. Godd luck and post pic when you are done.

dave...i dunno if it will fit the coupe, but i run 265/50/15 and know that 275/60/15 fit....as for 295, i dunno...but let me know what happens

I'd love to know as well. Some welds are in my near future as well.
