Winter *PICS* of the yard...and fun

I just drove around 170 miles this morning delivering parts. There were so many accidents. People were up in snow banks, down in ditches, and two roll overs as well. It's about 17* here right now. I HATE winter.

I bet we won't be busy because of it either, most collision shops are lazy and they will just total these cars instead of fix them.

Yeah we got over a foot here in CT as well!

It started around 1 on Friday. I left work at 4 (25 miles, half hour trip) and got to the GFs in about an hour and a half. Was only on the highway for 2 miles, and saw a good 50-60 cars and tractor trailers stuck. It was amazing to weave through the stuck cars at 10 mph for about a miles worth of highway.

Went out Fri night at 10 or so, noone out but plows, and still coming down. Snowed into Saturday, let up for a bit, and then again on Sunday we got hit with another 4-6 inches.

I did however get to test out the F250 for the first time. I was impressed, not so much with going places (I actually used 2wd most of the time) but with the brakes. Never had the antilocks hit once, the Audi today (some snow still on the roads) had them kick on a bunch already!

I just put some new tire on my F150. I put 265-70-R17 (stock size) Nokian Vatiiva. They are a cheap tire I have heard, but I got them from the yard. They move my truck perfectly.

My friend just bought his BFG's but paid 223 per tire. They are badass, but that's a lot of money for a winter ride for me.

25thmustang do have some mean tires on the truck?

I honestly couldn't tell you the brand off the top of my head, as they came on the truck, but I do know the backs are getting close to replacement time. Not much tread left. I expected it to slide around a bunch, but it didn't. Granted I don't drive fast in bad weather, but my Audi has the antilocks kick in at any speed.
