I was just wondering if there is a way to swap 94-98 or 99-04 wiper arms onto a 90 mustang, my arms work fine but the selection for that style wiper arm is very limited. if the arm is to big is there a company that sells the arms in a shorter version? or can i get the arms and smaller wiper blades?

thanks for the help

Stangs use standard 16" wiper blades. I am not understanding why you want to use a different year arm on your stang. Are you looking for a different look or what are you trying to attain with the swap?

I think that he is trying to obtain different style blades to use which might come with having different arms. I don't know if they will work, but just go to a junk yard and grab some, they can't be that expensive.

ya 16" blades are very plentiful.

the newer ones would be too big and wreck all the trim

I wanted to see if i can get just a flat style wiper blade (bosh) others, it dont have the arm because the arm is built into the blade itself, smooth and small look, on fox body's they have the arm and at the end of the arm they have a rod at the end of them, most cars now have that hook at the end of them. most new good/better wiper blades use that hook, there is no hole in it to put on a fox body wiper arm. I wanted to use somthing like that for cosmeticly and better performance. I also thought they where 13 in. blades on a fox, oh i could be wrong, i wouldt put a big blade cuz it would just anoy me if it was hitting my trim hahaha.

Every wiper that I have seen has the adapter for either the hook or the pin mounting.
And yes, they are 16" wipers. Are you looking at some at a store? If so, ask them if they will work on the pin. Most autoparts stores will install blades if you ask.

i see what your sayin.....ill try and see if they fit this weekend possibly.....my brother has my old 94 and i have to see if he goes home too. i dont think it is going to even make too much of a difference aesthetically.

At first I thought you wanted to run those crazy new blades that dont really have a frame.

The problem is I think they are quite a bit longer, so it would even make 16" blades, if you put them on, hit the trim

The Bosch Icon blades aren't sold with adaptors for pin type wiper arms, they will only fit vehicles that use the hook type wiper arms.

The Rain-X Latitude website claims to have adaptors for pin-type wiper arms. I haven't checked them out in person yet.

One of my local stores sells a wiper branded Trico Innovision. That does have a 16" application for pin-type arms.

The nob that the arm sits on is bigger on the sn95. The only reason i know this is because my father has a 98, I have a 90 and we both bought the wiper delet covers that fit over the nob (the cars never go in the rain . The covers for the 98 are bigger than the ones for the fox.
