Going to go try my luck at bracket racing again this weekend in Earlton, ON

traccracing.ca - Home

After coming in 4th place out of a field of over 200 competitors in the 1/8th mile Elliot Lake event 3-weekends ago, I couln't resist trying my luck at a 1/4 mile event this time.

Don't care how fast I run, as long as it's consistent and my car comes back in one piece. Lets hope my Mickey Thompsons still have enough bite left in them for one more event.

It sucked.....got pretty much rained out on the Saturday I went down. I got one pass in the morning, then we didn't run again until the track dried up around dinner time. By then they just said screw the bracket racing and just run them all out.....which was at least cool since nobody got any real qualifying times dialed in anyway. All and all, I wish I would have skipped the event, but oh well.

Nope....best run I could muster was 13.2. Pavement was really cold and damp and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get a great hook. Best 60ft times were in the 1.95-1.99 range.

I think my worst run of the day was about a 13.65 to be honest. The whole event turned out to be a big waste of time and money to be honest. But hey....what can ya do?
