We had our fire company election and we voted for a new chief. In doing this he will be picking all new officers. He posted up on the fire company website that he wanted anyone interested in being a officer to put it in writing what they wanted to do and how they plan on doing it. I sent him an email asking to be considered for an officer postion. I've been a member for about 10 years and being a officer has always been a dream of mine. Not sure when He'll let people know if they were choosen but as soon as I hear ya'll will know.

Wish me luck (please)

by the sounds of it I may have a good shot at something lol. Guys were talking last night laughing and cracking jokes about putting their names in. Sounds like a lot of the officers we have now won't be putting their names in. The father of 2 of our officers ran for chief and lost and the one is already butt hurt about it. Our one LT i guess said that as soon as the new officers take office he's not gonna come around anymore.

I was like damn am I the only one to put my name in? I'll prolly get black listed but oh well f em

lol old guy humor

The one guy I was worried about asked me today if i put my name in. I said "yeah did you?" he said he wasn't sure if he wanted to yet or not and asked if I thought he should. I didn't want to give him an answer but he kept harping on it so i was like "no I don't think you should as you said a few minutes ago you have bad relations with some of the members and that could lead to bad things and you get a bit rammy (sp??) at times and I don't feel thats good for an officer to be that way"

He might think I feel he's compatition. In a way I do but more the fact that he's a dick. I can't stand the guy and he thinks he runs everything now. Being an officer I can't imagine how worse he would be. And being rammy could get someone hurt or killed

um kinda like that. Like just jumping into things and not thinking about it. You know sometimes you gotta take a second and think about your approach. He dives right in and if things don't work he gets pissed. Like the call that really pissed me off about him being that way was we needed to force entry into an apartment building. We have these new Hydro Rams that you stick in the door jam and pump the and they spread the door away form the jam so they pop open. He was holding the ram standing in front of it and goes "hold this while I hit it with the mallet" I was like umm yourstanding in front of it why don't you hold it and I hit it then that didn't work so he was like these things are junk get me this and this freaking out. I just stood there thinkng ok we have a smoke alarm going off on the 2nd or 3rd floor no visible smoke or fire we had been there last year for the same thing Slow down and chill the **** out. Then we get in go upstairs and he trys using the ram again trying to put it all in weird places on the door we finially got it open but I'm like why wouldn't you put it at the lock not up away from it.

Also last winter we had a accident jeep on its side he wasn't tall enough to reach the top side to use the o-cutter so he sticks his foot in the sun roof and kicks the lady in the head more then once i think.

He needs to chill out. He also doesn't follow how things have gone over there for years now the person in the front seat is the officer of the truck which means should be in charge if no real officer is around he jumped on the radio one day when I was up front and started recalling people. That didn't go over so well with me and I reported him to the chief. If something would have happend he could have said "Jinx was the officer i don't know anything"

He has nicknames over there GOD (cause he thinks he's god) and Ike (I Know everything) So whats that tell ya lol
