by the sounds of it I may have a good shot at something lol. Guys were talking last night laughing and cracking jokes about putting their names in. Sounds like a lot of the officers we have now won't be putting their names in. The father of 2 of our officers ran for chief and lost and the one is already butt hurt about it. Our one LT i guess said that as soon as the new officers take office he's not gonna come around anymore.

I was like damn am I the only one to put my name in? I'll prolly get black listed but oh well f em

I wouldn't trust those jokers. They probably all put their names in the tilt. That happens at my job. If there's a promotion available folks say they don't want it but the when the list comes out, they are on it. I guess they're trying to get better odds.

Oh the term "Sarge" are for those fat guys. I was in the military and one sargent told me that.

I don't get paid now nore(sp?) will I as an officer. we are a volunteer company. only paid staff we have is an EMT during the day.

I have no idea when I'll find out I may not here anything till its closer to the new chief taking office which isn't till the end of the year. I wish I would hear something sooner I hate suspense.

Well they decided to have the meeting on Dec 10 so as of then the new officers will take over. We will here prior to or after the meeting. He's looking over the letters which brings me to the quote here

From what he told my dad you were right he said he got tons of letters more then he ever thought he would. I don't know how beings we don't have many people besides who were officers and me who could be one.

UPDATE: I'll find out the night of the 3rd. We are gonna have an active crew meeting where he is gonna announce the line officers and answer any questions people might have.

Of course I work nights so I'm just gonna have to call in sick that day CFT
