Ok so i have upper lowers, 50/50 shocks, and drag launch springs with a passanger drag bag. No quad shocks on the car. I recently turbo'd the 90 GT and whenever i lay into the throttle instead of breaking loose the rearend hops really bad. Whats the cause in this? I need to fix it cause the weather is getting better and i need to go to the track.

thanks guys

Put the quad shocks back on. That's what they are there for.

The whole "take quads off when you do LCA"s" thing is a myth. Quad shocks prevent wheelhop plain and simple.

Check two things. Your torque boxes and your pinion angle. I had a upper torque box rip out and did exactly what you discribe. Battle boxes and a adj. pinion snubber fixed it for good.

Ok

The video is right on the money. The only reason i took them off was because i was told with the 50/50 lakewoods in i wouldn't have any problems and i wanted more wheelwell for my tires.

245 45 17"

I have the 17" cobra's on it and i never had any wheel hop until i did all this work to my car. Would putting a UPR anti-roll bar in stop it from doing that even without the quad shocks? cause my goal is more rubber in the fender wells. My buddy told me to try an adjustable snubber too so i will get one of those also.

GMS

I have the grannetelli'. If thats how you spell it. I tried flipping them too bit i don't get any clearance for my slicks. there only 9.5" slicks too but the backspacing on the weld rims don't help at all.

Quads quads quads...that's all there is. I dont know why people are so hell-bent on getting rid of them. They work. If upgraded control arm bushings were the fix for wheelhop, Ford would have did it and saved themselves millions of dollars in quad shocks from 1986-2004.

I realize some guys want to run fatter tires and elim them, but what I don't understand is why guys will spend $800 on trick rear suspension components and then remove one of the more important items in the system.
