I just built a 306 and Im looking to put a cam in it. I havent even started the car yet so not sure what to expect. I have a DSS built 306 with 10:1 compression, AFR 185s, Long tubes, a T-5z trans, 3.73 gears and as of right now have stock maf and injectors. I was looking at the XE282HR which seems to be pretty big, but not sure if it would be good for my set up.

Do u guys think this cam would work for me? What kind of #'s do u think i can get out of this set up?

sorry yes, i've been looking at the two for a while b/c i wanted to go with the 274, but i will probably just end up going custom. the xe274hr is more radical, takes a better spring, and usually makes a good deal more power than the tfs stage II. this is what i have gathered from a LOT of reading...

i got the exact setup almost,but i have a victor 5.0 intake. 11.1 compresions
And the 282 cam..Its beastly!!!
You will love it to death. !! guaranteed.
dont even think twice....

well dont want to wing you off.. but a extremely good cam is the crane #444221 2021 cam.. its a fairly big cam.. bigger than any TFS cam and makes tons of torque and has a very favorably power band.. 5.0 mustang tested its sister, the 2020 cam which has more exhaust lift.. brought a 190 horse motor to 220 just by itself.. (thats with the valve train kit, im just going by the magazine as well so don't yell at me lol)
