Xpipe holding up TRANS

installed new engine, mounted BBK Xpipe to FRPP shorties.. and now I have a problem. The xpipe sits at an angle where its hangers that mount through the trans bracket hold the transmission up so high, the studs on the trans wont go through the trans member. im about to cut those hangers. i hate life.

you don't hate life. you hate hangers...is it the first set of hangers at the front of the tranny if so when my x-pipe was installed they were not used....don't know the difference in yours and my 95....but i just thought i would let you know...

Some brands of X-pipe (like UPR) don't even come with brackets at all, so *in theory* they aren't necessary. However, I've been having problems with my center-most section sagging over time, so I have to keep jacking it back up and tightening it every so often. Dunno if anyone else has this issue, or if my car just hates me, in general.

J- It is common for me to heat up the hangers and bend them to make it work or sit tighter. Like previously mentioned the UPR pipe doesnt have the hangers and they work just fine. I just prefer to have some support there since it is such a long way before the system has another hanger for support but it will work fine with out them.
