Got her started tonite finally. I still have some things to button up before shes drivable, but im happy its idling atleast..

Heres a couple pics from a few days ago, i need to wax the bay and polish everything still, which will hopefully happen this weekend. I also need to polisht he distributer, paint the dist cap black, and paint/polish some miscellaneous things

I currently have the 3.5 inch downpipe going into a dynomax race bullet muffler then dumped.. And its very loud right now. Id like to get a another 3.5 inch muffler, something good (sugestions?) and finish up the exhaust. Im not looking for it being crazy loud.

Do you guys feel an adjustable fuel regulator is totally necessary? Cause the one i have doesnt fit with the intake flipped. Id need a 1 inch spacer atleast to clear it.. The stocker just fits with vac tube bent a bit. When i had my last car tuned (418) the tuner never touched the adjustable fuel regulator, so im wondering if i even need one.

Heres some pics.. There will be far better ones coming this weekend! :SNSign:

Simply badass!

If your fuel pressure is correct now and you have some way of tuning the computer, you can probably get away without the fuel pressure regulator. I believe you want to be at about 39psi with you fuel. Some people try to tune with an AFPR but its only a band aid. As I understand it, the way to properly tune the car it to set the fuel pressure at the stock psi and then tune your fuel through the cars computer, not neccessarily just by uping the fuel pressure.

Yea thats what i thought as well. The car WILL be dyno tuned (chip burnt), so ill have to get a gauge to stick on the shrader(sp?) valve and see where im at.. Thanks for the info!

Very nice!

I'm still using the stock FPR here. It hasn't caused any problems that I know of.

Looks amazing, please try to get a video clip!

as far as a muffler option, have you thought about a Borla XR1? They make them all the way up to 5" in either round or oval cases I believe. Not 100% sure how loud XR1's are on an application like yours, but it would have to be more liveable than a dynomax bullet... I've heard 3.5" bullets in person before on a built, cammed, blown, 02 GT and it just about made my ears bleed lol.

if you really did need one you could just get an external afpr. basically the hose goes to the afpr then to the rails.

Lookin good brotha!

You don't need the AFPR from a tuning standpoint, but you MAY need it for reliability. Occasionally the stock unit doesn't like the pressure after market parts put on it and the after market AFPR is a good idea just because its more durable. So depending on how your stock unit does with the increased demand, it may be in your best interest to buy an AFPR and just keep it at 39.5. This was a concern after I added my 255lph pump, but I watched it via rail mount gauge after a couple weeks and determined I was good to go.

Tom is correct about proper tuning methods. If you bump pressure the computer will adjust injector pulse width to compensate over time, so its best to leave it stock.

See you at Epping!

Thanks for the info! I checked out my summit mag and that muffler sounds good. Ill probably leave the bullet in place and add the borla muffler to it in the area where the muffler usually goes. Hopefully it will have a decent sound..

I have a vid camera, so ill deff try to get a vid of it idling this weekend, stay tuned!

WOW man that is NICE! I want to do a t-70 someday.

If your going to bring it to dez with a custom chip, he usually turns it down to stock FP anyway. The only way a Adj. FPR is needed is if you run out of fuel on the topend, you can dial in a bit more pressure.

I forgot if that was a stock block? That engine is CLEAN! get some vids!!!!

BTW those exhaust band clamps SUCK. The ALL develop exhaust leaks, and they were partially the reason why i removed my Twin turbos, all the exhaust leaks. V-bands or nothing

Why did you go wit hthe flipped intake? Just so you can run the intercooler that you can have teh inlet/outlet on opposite sides? How much is BnG charging for a hotside these days?
