Ok here is my question. I want to get Nitto 555R's up front and back, but I have heard that if I go with 275's in front and back, I might notice some pulling while driving. Any of you guys run 275's front and back or do most of you run 245's up front? I plan on getting the 275's withing the next couple of weeks since my back tires are getting a little thin . If no one has noticed any of the pulling I was warned about then I will get 275's in front as well.

Thanks for any help in advance

if you are running the stock 8 inch rims just do the 275s out back . if you have 17x9s all around do the 275s all around .....IMO

those who run a wider sized tire in the back will always notice pushing. 275s all around should give u no more pushing than stock. I have 315s and 245s up front, now THAT is some understeer. But why worry about understeer racing...you dont autox do you? If not...who cares about it.

275s are too wide for stock 17x8" rims. I just can't fathom why anyone would spend the money to buy a performance tire and then handicap it by putting it on a rim it wasn't designed for.

P275/60 R15 107V 7.5-(8.0)-9.5

Isnt that saying that the tire is good for anywhere from a 7.5-8.0-9.5" rim or am I reading that wrong???

One could always compromise and get the Nitto 555 Street tire in 255/40/ZR17

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?sw=false&ar=40&pc=40142&cs=255&rd=17

That what I had decided on anyways, until i hatched a plan to go 18"

That is on a 15" rim (R15). We are talking about the stock 17x8 rims here.

StangLou, you will notice a little more "tracking" with the 275's up front. Tracking refers to the tires finding ruts in the road and making the steering wheel jerk a little bit when driving. It shouldn't be too much of a problem, but sometimes it is very noticeable.

I've got Eagle F1 GS-D3 275/40's all around. They find all the imperfections in the concrete but it's not bad. And it is a lot of fun on the track.

275X35X18 all around here. I do get some tracking up front. Especially on the concrete freeways here in LA with the expansion joints runnging down the middle of the lane. On regular asphalt roads, I don't notice any tracking at all.
