- I noticed all you have 17x8 all around with a lowered ride. Do you guys have any rubbing issues? If not, what did you do to stay away from that?

Man my fronts rub before I even THINK about making a turn. I need to pound out my fenders cause I'm NOT changing my ride height. I actually need to lower the back some too.

They didnt rub when I had my 16x7's on there though.

my fronts dont rub at all, but they are 17X7 with a 1* negative camber and the rears rub once in a while, but the leafs are about 20 year old Maier racing springs(shelby spec)

is it possible to fit 17x10.5 inch wheels in the back of a 67-68 fastback with no rubbing issues? Deep dish with a Cobra IRS.

I know, I might actually have a chart somewhere or another that list out what people do (or don't do) to fit rims and tires on their mustangs complete with all their suspension and mod info.

However I run 17x8 with 245 40 17 on the front with shelby dropped upper arms and 3 degrees neg camber. Before that I ran 234 45 17 on the same wheel with 1.5 degree negative camber. I have never rubbed and I do not have my fender lips rolled in the front.

Depends on the year of the car.
The 65-66 Mustangs use shims behind the upper control arms.
Reducing the number of shims behind the rear bolt on the upper control arm will increase negative camber(while also changing caster settings).

On the 67+ Mustangs camber is adjusted by moving the lower control arm eccentric bolt outboard.

Of course an alignment is required afterwards.

For my '65, do you think this set-up will fit?

- FRONT: *17x7 3.75BS *225/45 *620 coil spring w/ 1 coil cut.
- REAR: *17X8 4.75BS *245/45 *5 leaf reverse eye

The rear will be fine, but I'd want more backspacing on the front rim.

- FRONT: *17x7 4.00BS? 4.25BS? *225/45 *620 coil spring w/ 1 coil cut.
- REAR: *17X8 4.75BS *245/45 *5 leaf reverse eye

What BS would you guys recommend for the front?

I'd want 4.5 or 4.75" backspacing up front.

..Even if there 17x7's?
My goal is to have the front wheels tucked under the front fender (without rub), and have the rear sit flush to the fender.
...kinda like this
