Notch=coupe (All coupes were LXs but not all LXs were coupes)
LX (coupe, convertible, or hatchback)
GT (available in hatchback or convertible body style)

GTs (87-93) had different body kit, rear disc brakes, rims, better suspension, different seats

You have 2 body styles technically, with a third "body kit" if you wanna call it that.

Hatch back, which came in the LX model and the GT model, the GT having the ground effects.

Then you have the coupe which only came in LX form, no body kit of any kind. This of course is more for the '85+ models, since before that you had all kinds of crazy letter combos....LX, GLX, L....it was pretty silly.

Here you are dude-

The GT, whether it be hatch or convertible was the "Flagship" of it's time. It usually came with more amentities like power seats and such. It only came with a 5.0.

The LX was different as it was a scaled down model. In all years it was cheaper. You could get a 4 cylinder or opt for the 5.0 package which included the same 5.0 as the GT and the same suspension. In some years you could get a v6 as well. The lx came in a hatch and convertible as well as a coupe.

The Notchback you hear about is the lx Coupe, and the ones that everyone is after is the 5.0 liter Coupe.

:nice:

Welcome to :SNSign:

Thanks for thats guys' i might have my hands on a 93 coupe the problem is that the guy is located far from me' this fox has 160 km on it and hes asking 6k for it ' looks like a nice ride but the pic he sent me is to small ' i cant see ***** so he will have pics tomorrow' thanks again.:) If he mails em to me yous can tell me what yea think and what i should look out for with a foxbody. so far the interior is flawless but im abit worried about the engine.

i think the Lx is the notch back... which has the trunk.... the gt is a hatch back the hole back half pops up as your trunk...

umm they do make LX hatchbacks. you know that?

there were no gt coupes made ever.

either a LX coupe or a GT hatch, LX hatch, Cobra hatch, GT vert, LX vert, GLX vert. saleen hatch.

im not sure if they made a saleen coupe or not?
