01 Cobra vs 03 Cobra vs Mach1

Ok so i've done some research, but must be looking in the wrong spots.... I have a couple of questions for you guys. What exactly is the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 01 COBRA AND THE 03 COBRA besides visually. I mean i know the 03 is supercharged, but already starting out at 320 hp on an 01 couldn't u supercharge that to well over 400 and already be over the 390 the 03 comes with? Also i was just wondering what everybody would rather have.... an 01 Cobra possibly supercharged down the line, an 03 Mach1, or an 06GT? Thanks

03 Cobra has all forged internals, T-56 tranny, Iron block, 39lb injectors.

01 Cobra is forged crank, hypereutectic pistons, rods aren't forged, aluminum block, 24lb injectors. I don't think they have six speed trannies.

If I had to choose between an 03 Cobra, 01 Cobra, and 06 GT, I would take the 03 Cobra hands down. Terminators are a great platform to build massive amounts of power. The 390HP rating was a bit underrated from the factory. They put down around 370+ RWHP bone stock.

Really just depends what you want. You can make any of those cars fast, just gonna be cheaper to get the 03 there quicker in terms of $$$ spent modding IMO.

As stated above, the Cobra is a better all around platform. It will cost more initially, but you will be rewarded with a better platform. GL

as i stated above i can't choose from an 03 cobra i can only choose from an 01 cobra 03 MACH and 06 GT... it'd be very nice if i could choose from an 03 cobra

Of those three, I'd take the 01 Cobra. It will be more boost friendly than the higher compression MACH 1. Each of these has a trade off depending on how you intend to put it to use. The IRS of the 01 Cobra is more capable in corners, but more fragile if you plan to drag race. What do you intend on doing with it drag race, road race, commute?

You could pick up and 03 cobra for similar or less than an 06 GT I would think.

If I wanted a coupe, I'd prob go with the Mach. They look great and the shaker is unique. I would never buy the auto though. It has a weaker crank, but the slushbox is really the sticking point. If I wanted a vert, I'd go with the Cobra.

Id get the car more for drag than cornering.... The reason i can't get an 03 is because my insurance is more on a stock supercharged car than any of the others and my parents are matching what i have so i'd owe them more if i got the 06 anyways soo.... and if in maintnance the 01 cobra isn't a problem and it can push just as much as a mach1 i like the cobra more.... i've always liked the snakes since i was a little kiddy
