Gas....19.5 mpg city??!!

I can't tell but are you complaining?? 
I'd be happy with that! Last summer driving in 90 degree heat on the highway for 500 miles I made 28.5 MPG! Can anyone beat that?

My initial math was telling me that I was getting about 24.5 MPG at best last summer (when we all run the MTBE mix fuel down here instead of ethanol blend), but since my speedo is still reading about 7 MPH high when it says I'm doing 70 or 75 MPH, I'm betting it's closer to being around 21 MPG ... not bad (especially with 4.10's), just nothing outstanding. With mostly city driving, I get somewhere between 17-18 MPG.
I'm running 4.10 gears with a speedo gear meant for 3.73's, which means it's bound to read a bit high. However, hopefully if I invest in a set of slightly wider/overall taller tires (maybe 245/50/16's if I ever score some Pony rims), I'll be a lot closer to a straight speed reading and, thus, actual mileage stats.
FWIW, my '90 Lincoln Town Car (only year they made 'em Aero-bodied but with a 5.0/AOD) gets about 21 to 22 MPG on the highway with 3.08's. Around town, it gets a whopping 16 MPG.

ive gotten up to 18 around town so i believe it. its getting nice out whcih is inquiring spirited driving so im down to about 15 now i think.

I have had my 89 GT for 14yrs and have never checked on gas mileage. I just enjoy driving it so much that I don't worry about it. I always said that if I have to worry about gas mileage then I should have bought a yugo. Not meant to flame anyone.

..... I only get 145 mpt i used to get 170-180 mpt before i had my EGR and O2 sensor problems.... still haven't figured that one out yet....
Dude i get about 15 city and maybe 18 highway if i shift early and stay in the slow lane and don't pass anyone.
Ok well I just figured out my mileage for the first time and I think I went about 235miles on about 12-13 gallons....does this mean my car is a good runner or do I just baby it too much
That's about what I get, see my sig for mods. My speedo has the right gears in it and is pretty accurate. I am 1 MPH fast at 30 MPH and about 2 MPH fast at 60 MPH.
My 93 is almost completely stock and gets 190 miles to 210 miles per tank usually. 235 is great. My 4.6 2001 gets about 200 miles to the tank

i definatley believe it....i drive 91.2 miles everyday and average 25-26 in my 95 best is 27 around town anywhere from 18-21 mpg......in my old red 89 coupe best was 28. better than my 03 s10 sadly!
No way. He must drive like a elderly person. I had a 95 Formula LT1 and got 12-14 mpg when it was nearly new.

My LS1 got 18-19 city if I kept it down to the speed limit. 27 hwy in 6th gear. my 5.0 gets 17 city and 25 hwy. not too far behind the LS1, and not too shabby for a motor that has it roots going back to the 60's.
