The ONLY ones I DID like (before this thread) was the nice Billet ones with the bars only.

I had the mesh ones before and I dumped them.

I did NOT have to change the latch...I just had to reach in manually to pull the latch over, instead of using the handle.

that's actually what i did for months after i got the car before i realized there was a handle under the horse
