civics are alright

Racist crap is just over the line.... Its not funny at all, you need to grow up. This was a thread about civics, and you turned it in to a race issue. Wrong time of year for that, somebody is watching your behavior, and your not on the nice list...... Ive got a best freind that is Japanese, and its sad to see people act like that..... whatever your race, religion, I hope you dont feel that way about people, and good luck in this world, it looks like you will need it.

Eitherway, lets try to get past the immature, typical interenet peeps and continue...

Im Asian and been own 4 import call ( hate honduh the most ), after own american cars I will never go back to import, sure gas miles is not great but hell its build way better then import.

take your racist slants elsewhere, I dont play that game.
Correct, sir. This site doesn't play that game either.

Sad that a few immature Internet tough guys are ruining an otherwise good topic.

:jaw: Just wanted to add thank God for Hondas. If not for Honda's I wouldn't have my car. Someone traded my Mustang in to a Honda dealer when it was 3 (poor Mustang) and the Honda dealer just wanted to get rid of it. They placed an ad, shined it up and put it right in front of their parking lot in a featured area. The price was great so off it went. The same car through a Ford dealer would have been at least 2 grand more.

you rarely see someone complaining about a honda's reliability. theyre great cars, they obviously know what theyre doing. now that said, i hate them with a passion. theyre part of the reason for the downfall of ford, imho.

i mean come on. they make lawn mowers.

There a good car, I don't think there all there cracked up to be, so they get 35 mpg, they better the're light and have a tiny engine my buddies MK VII gets 28+ and its heavy and has more then twice the displacement.

Not the same thing though.

The civic will do 35MPG highway and maybe 25-30MPG city

I owned a Mark 8, sure it does 28MPG on the highway, but in the city, my economy gauge was always around 11-15mpg.

They have a good reputation for the most part but they still break, and have their weird issues. I have buddies who are real into them, the have just as many problems as domestics.

are you talking about a lincoln mark 7?

they had 5.0s in them...

I had a 91 and it did not get over 20 mpg.

I dont know where your getting 28 mpg in a 5.0+ 4200 lb car.

I think he meant Mark 8.

I owned one, and if you really babied it on the highway, you could squeak 27+ MPG out of them. But you would need to drive it like a grandma. Off the highway, it's a typical V8 gas guzzler.
