You guys have been patiently waiting all week long. I started working with the front bumper last night and tonight. It was horrible, two tone white and black, license plate holes, and it had been painted 100 times with some cheap a$$ paint. It took a lot of time to strip the bad spots, then I featheredge those into the good spots. I got 3 heavy coats of Urethane Primer on it tonight, (and I cleaned up the whole shop.....which took forever.) OH....I also undercoated the rear quarter wells and I painted a lot of stuff black under there. I thought when I put it together it would be good to red LCA's and UCA's, calipers, and the blue Steeda springs....NO....I hate it. I painted everything black. That is my goal with the car....yellow with black trim, tinted windows, and chrome/polished/machined wheels.

Here it is then and now, and tomorrow it will be yellllllooooowww!!

Stay tuned on Sunday!!!

All week I waited....ALL WEEK!! ............ and this is all you give me?

**walks out and slams door**

*Stops.......*

**Comes back in spits in fresh primer and kicks up dust. walks back out slamming door harder**

pffffffffffffttttttt

When do you think it will be ready to roll around town and play?

I wish I could afford to buy the 96 cobra wheels you had on it before. Id like to do a 5 swap with those.

You're lucky to be in one of those states that will allow you to roll w/o a front plate. I had the body guys remove my front plate bracket too. But I have to fashion something removable for day to day driving.

Lovin' the primer though. Almost.....there!.....

NICE. but i will be honest an say that when i clicked on this thread i thought it would be more pics lol. either way the car is lookin awsome an if it was a 03-04 cobra motor in it, it would be my dream fox. have you decided on what rims?

Lovin it dude...keep it coming!

I will bro thanks. It's 7:59a.m.....I'm up and Im getting ready to go to the shop!!!
nicely done, I never liked those holes anyway...

Me either man. I filled those top holes in. That was the only cover that wasn't all indented because of them. The other two I had had better paint, and I wouldn't have had to strip them, but the "MUSTANG" area was too screwed up to mess with. This was waaayyy faster to fix. I literally just filled the holes. I didn't have to feather it out.

Come on man, I gotchu!!! I will have more pics today just for you!! IT is sunny today, I have the drivetrain and chassis/suspension finished, so if I throw the wheels on it and get it off the hoist, I am gonna take it down the street today. Our shop is on a non busy road. I usually can take my Cobra up to 90-100MPH without problems, traffic, pedestrians. So I'll let you know. ARound town leagally though....1-2 weeks. I want to fully detail it, tint it out, align it and have my buddy work his magic on the parts of exhaust I'm not happy with and weld the subframe connectors in it.

I agree. I'm so happy I don't have to have that plate. Can you mount yours lower, like on the lower bar of the bumper? My holes were perfectly drilled, so it wouldn't have looked bad if I just painted over them, but as I said above to Slow95GT.....other covers I had were drilled out horribly bad.

Yeah, the primer is really nice. I love the stuff. I suggest buying a large fluid tip for your gun though. I have a standard 1.4 on all my guns, and I recommend the largest 1.7. MY one gun wouldn't even spray it, it's old, and probably wore out, so I had to use my good spray gun I only use for paint, but I just cleaned it really really good after.

I'll have more pics for you man, trust me. I wish I had an 03-04 Cobra motor in it. But then the money I would have in it would be double!! That would hurt the wallet, especially with my house, and my other 2 Mustangs. If I still lived at home, I would have some 18's on the car, with some expensive tires too, 03-04 Cobra motor, etc....but I with the house, things changed with me. Stay at home as long as you can, if you haven't moved out already.....:D

Oh, I know you are....:D I was just saying...I gotchu brotha!!:D And thanks, I can't wait to get it to the first one...May 17th.

WELL BOYSSSSSS!!!! I took Hack Job for a ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:nice:

The good: The traction control works, the brakes are good, it handles good, the exhaust is LOUD, it's pretty damn fast. It will smoke my 91 notch. That dash is right at home in that car.

The bad: Going through the gears is great, but going into reverse is tough. It grinded going into reverse a couple times. It got stuck in reverse too.

I couldn't get it out at first. I played with the clutch and wiggled the handle, and I got it to come out. The transmission looked brand new too. I think the clutch isn't fully disengaging. The clutch is right at the floor. I took me some getting use to. I'm mad, but not really mad. Things could be worse. I knew something would have an issue. I can drive it around, I am gonna finish the car, then worry about it after the car show.

I will post vids when I get home. My buddy came up here to take them.

ooooo....I don't know about burn out videos...yet. I just got it together, and while it's prolly alright to shred some tread, I better wait....hehe:D ...I hear ya though.

There is some minor tire spin in the video that sounds like wheel hop, but it isn't..........I forgot to turn the traction control off!!!!:rlaugh: Who the hell puts traction control in a fox body???:D :rlaugh: oh yeah...I did...

P.S. Everyone, I just took it for another ride, and it's not the transmission. The clutch isn't fully disengaging. I drove it more this time and that is what it is. I knew I should have out a new one in it when it was out. Damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I'm gonna send it to my transmission shop, I don't feel like taking the job of pulling a frickin T45 without the removable bell housing. It looks like a bioch and I'd rather pay the guys over there to do it.

im just playin with ya. cars coming together awsome. looks badass an im sure its fun as hell to drive. of course im gonna stay tuned in to see more pics an hear more info on the car. oh and yeah ive moved out i can only imagine payin for a house an a couple toys. more props for that. im savin up now to paint my lx vibrant red. again im tryin to get some pics of my car after it got vandalized so you guys can see what ive been dealing with. i promise ill have some up tomorrow lastest. keep it comin man!

Bumper is painted. 2 coats of white sealer. 3 coats of Nason's Urethane Single Stage Yellow.

AND THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR TODAY..

(THE MOMENT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR FOR 11 MONTHS!!!!!!!

Traction control was left on...

2nd vid easy on gears. Traction control on...I forgot foxes had traction control...I mean wait, they do?
View attachment 318881

Slight tire spin. The tires are like brand new on the back, so I don't want to rip those up. I also short shifted, because I got nervous on the first time I did it with a car that was just put together.

I will have better videos when the car is done. I am gonna finish the car up over this next week and maybe into next depending on school.

It also needs a clutch, so I am gonna order one tonight, and I guess I'll have fun putting that thing in. I just hope that is the entire root of my stiff shifter, and the reason for the long period of time between gears.

Thank a lot guys. This is hands down the loudest Mustang I have ever had, and it rivals the loudest Mustang I have ever heard. The vids don't do it justice because the wind is crazy, and it isn't a video camera, it's just a digital camera. I am almost thinking of toning it down. It is unreal inside the car, I can't even think.:rlaugh:

Dude!!! Your car sounds awesome!!! Don't change it. It's cool to hear the 4.6L sound coming out of a fox notch. It's pretty easy to get the PI 4.6L's over 250 RWHP. That would be alot of fun in a fox notch.

You said your clutch grabs close to the floor. Do you have an adj setup?

Sounds like you just need to tighten the cable up. I would hold off on the clutch until you can adj closer to halfway.

The bumper looks great!! :nice:
