I have 95 disc conversion front and rear for my 93 fox. I swapped out the axles. So I do know they are 3/4 inch longer on both sides. My question is ; What size offset do I need to fit a 17 to 18 X 8 to 10 inch wheels? With what size tires? I really want to stagger the rear with a deep lip. Thanks

Is this for the '93? If so, you're better off than people with 91 and older foxes. Still, it's tight with a 245 or bigger on any fox. It comes down to the

o Exact year car.

o Your Exact suspension and any drop (even stock cars drop by ~1/4-1/2") because of the isolators wearing down.

o The Exact rim

o The Exact tire. Not just tire size. Sidewall width varies a lot even among the same size tire. Check tirerack for the Exact specs for your Exact tire.

In general, 225's are safe. 245's are tight but can "mostly fit". 255's or bigger are very dependent on the above items that I mentioned.

FYI, my car:
Mustang 86 - Mach1 Springs

1986 Mustang
Mach1 Springs, Steeda 1/4" front spring spacers (placed on top of the isolator),
BBK poly top & bottom isolators, new Fox FCAs,
Tokico 5-way adjustable struts (set on 4 out of 5).

The front fenders sit ~26-7/8" from the ground
and that's with 245/45/17 RE730s (@32 PSI) which are the correct diameter for the car.
The Mach1 springs are rated at 600lbs/in vs the 425/530 lbs/in stock GT springs.

Also: MM Caster Camber plates, MM bumpsteer kit,
STB, subframes, M2300K Cobra brake kit, ABS, SS brake hoses,
poly swaybar end-link bushings, poly swaybar bushings, heavy swaybar end-links, etc.

Hope this helps

Falken Azeni 255/40s up front, 275/40s out back
03 Cobra 17x9" all around (6.12" BS)
91-93 front fenders, rear fenders rolled
04 Cobra brakes up front on 95 spindles
Cobra brakes out back with 94-98 axles

Cant really tell you the drop, but im using MM coilovers F/R

Care to post a good side shot of your car, I have been wanting to do 17x9 with the same tire combo as you

Mines 94-95 front spindles and brakes
94-95 rear discs with fox length axles
18x9 with 255/35/18 Falken FK452s in front
18x10 with 285/35/18 Falken FK452s in back
Suspension is stock with Saleen Springs, no name LCAs and no quads.

IF you used SN95 axles, then the max wheel size you can go is 17X9 +24mm offset without it sticking out. It will come right to the quarter edge, so stick a 275 tire on it, and if your car is lowered, you might want to roll the quarter lip. 17X10.5 with a +27mm offset will stick out past, so don't order anything like that.

If you don't want to roll the quarters, go to Mustang Parts & Performance - American Muscle and purchase the 17X9 +45mm offset wheels for the rear and 17X8 +30mm offset wheels for the front.

Buy using 17X9 +45mm offset wheels vs 17X9 +24mm offset wheels, you wheel and tire combo will sit inward 21mm, giving you more than enough clearance for the quarter lip.

Yea, I just want an idea of how it looks

The wheels I want to get only come in 18's. Why doesn't anyone run 18's?

The wheel sizes are 18x8 +20 offset and 18x9.5 +40 offset. This is what I figure will fit the best with my set up. Any opinions? BTY the wheel is made by TSW.

Does anyone have better price's than onlinetire.com for tires?
