Just got my baby

I ment just the Ford oval to paint blue. On my 89 I did the red just like you and my car was a red/silver GT. Then I used white paint to fill in the Ford and the oval and painted the raised surface blue so it looked just like a Ford badge. I used to get compliments on it all the time. It was before I had a digital camera so I dont have any pics :(

Oh yeah, I forgot. I got my clear setup from LMR for $100 shipped/. They do that deal all the time and they are of great quality :nice:

is that fox yours? what color is that? i love it. my dream car is a 1965 Cobra kit in Lemans Sunset with guntmetal stripes
It was. I sold it and bought my 96 Cobra with the cash. I was told it was a Ford F-150 color called Sunburst Orange but I couldnt verify that as there was no such color name for Ford. It was a copper color. If you see a 2004+ F series that looks close then that would be the code as the previous owner said that was what happened. The car was being brought to the paint shop to be painted black and he saw the truck and stopped the guy to get the paint code

But it was a cool car. The Mach1 hood was functional too :nice:

tight it looks nasty shouldn't have sold it...:nono:
The car had major issues. I worked on it for a month straight (all day every day) and got everything working. Fixed brakes (complete overhaul), A/C, Charging issues, Cooling issues, all new vac lines, clutch, seats, stereo, windows, locks etc etc. Then I decided to go over the chasis. The rad support was really f'd up. The torque boxes were ripped, the sub frames had cracks in them, the angle on the passenger side a pillar was wrong (look at the pic) and the car was sold to me as a GT but was an LX converted. Nothing worked right, I fixed it all including a new cluster as the gauges didnt work. It was a nightmare. After busting my ass the hood latch broke and the hood flew up and cracks the windshield, crushed the cowl and screwed up the hood as well as two dimples on the roof.
Insurance gave me like $4000 for it and let me keep it with a clear title. I put on the new hood and windshield. Fixed the cowl and got a new vent then sold the car on ebay for $7500 :nice:
I even told the guy every issue and sent pics but he had to have it, he flew in from Oklahoma too. Sent me a certified check from Capitol One and I cashed at a Capitol one bank before he even showed up. Picked him up at the air port, he saw the car for the first time, loved it and drove it home.
Not bad for a car I picked up for $4500

And this is the one I sold to get that one. This is the car I painted the Ford emblem on the plenum blue.

nice well at least your work wasn't in vain.

ok so this is what's wrong with my car(so far as i know)
1. power locks don't work... soon to be fixed
2. the crappy made cobra bumper is sagging... and when i went to check under it if there was a way to remount it. i found a 2X4 propped up from underneath the bumper and the gas tank and another one wedged underneath the bumper...
3. headlights are completely wasted. i was just out driving and couldn't see worth ****

I'm sure there is just more things soon to be discovered

nope when the guy painted the whole car he went with a (very cheap) cobra rear bumper.

the body lines aren't as distinct as they are on the other panels and as you can barely see here the middle is sagging.
and he didnt mess with the pipes so i think i'm going to dump them after the muffler

yea i did a quick wipe down with some scotchbright pads but any tips on power washing the engine bay? it's gettin really cold so i want to do it as soon as possible
What I always did was put a bag around the aie filter and dist. Then soak it all in Purple Power from NAPA. Let it sit a couple minutes then pressure wash off. Dry everything and tire dress everything black. Usually comes out well
Just be carful about getting it on the body. It wont ruin the paint byt you will have to wax the hell out of the painted areas on the body pannels as it eats wax a little too good :nice:

the small one is a test pin, there should be another one near it thats kinda triangular. those 2 white pins idk. airbag sensors maybe but i dont think so.

if the car runs and drives without them i wouldnt worry about em

the foaming engine brite stuff works wonders...pics... and yeah. he did but it happens man.

do you think they sell purple power at autozone? there is one right behind my house that i can walk to. but is it safe to put on the belts, hoses, rubber stuff, etc. if it eats away at paint? and i have to cover the alt. too right?

you can use it. and its fine on it. if you get it on the fender paint id wash it off. that ****s potent. and if you buy the gallon of it.( what i would do ) you will have to mix it with so much water, like 1:1 or 4:1 ect it says on it. and yeah. dis. alternator. and don't just spray it all over electrical connections. also. mix it in a spray bottle. soak it and scrub. work great on the inner fenders. and inside of the wheels to get that caked on break dust off to btw :nice:
